Bruce,

Is this for 15mm or 25mm?

As far as I can remember, only half of the Numidian LC can be 'B' morale.

Also, 24 Reg B HI/MI LTS,Sh are better than 32 Reg B MI LTS,Sh in most circumstances (slightly cheaper too).

Bruce,

Personally, I've never played Carthos - I should give it a whirl, b/c so many have done well with them.

Here are my thoughts:

Frank is right about the 24man unit in part b/c they can advance in column and expand to full size in one turn. The spear are tough as they fight 2 full ranks at all times.

While the elephants are sub par overall - being of C morale and armed w/ only 1 Jls - they are nevertheless needed in their role. Not heavily armed enought to take on steady spear - you don't need that w/ the quantities of spanish roaming around the board. They are after the cavalry that will be plentiful in 15mm.

The Roman deserters are pretty solid troops, but very expensive. Being in 2E units between the elephants might be the better solution IMO - spreads the line a little bit more.

Unfortunately, in 15mm, with limited terrain, there are not enough lights to control the battlefield. Maybe a reduction of the 4E roman unit to 2E and using the points for more regular 2E LI units.

The regular spanish are excellent wood troops and can also fill the gaps for the elephants.

I like the list - please do tell how it goes.

Todd K

Bruce,

Just went through the list again and laid it out on paper - I think the coverage is pretty decent, but I would still like a little more LI and reduce the HI to 2 x 2E units.

thanks for great input

i will reduce LTS to 6E unit, reduce romans to 2 x 2E, and use extra points to but more LI. This should make me more arrow resistant as this army lacks much bow output and might have trouble wth shooty armies

thanks
