Hello Jon,
Dmitri (Viking) and Harlan Garrett (Later Crusader) are locked in mortal combat and a question arose. A knight unit is charging a bow unit. The bow unit stands to receive the charge and does two CPF. This is enough to tire the knights. Do they fight the combat tired, or do the effects of the support shooting go into effect after the combat? I realize they get the -2 for support shooting.
BTW, Dmitri's Vikings are doing well. His strategy has been to pass all waver tests and roll up on all combat and shooting rolls. One of Harlan's units just suffered through a +3 support shot followed by a Viking +3 HtH roll. Very brutal.

If the shooting takes place during Prep shooting then the knight unit is tired for the combat...
If the shooting happens during support then the knight unit is NOT tired, but takes the -2 for the support and the casualties are tied together w/ HTH for overall CPF.

Todd is correct, but should be more patient... I am sorry I have been out of the net, but there *is* a war on...
11.214 Additional Combat Results.
• If sufficient CPF are from support shooting alone, then
disorder (but not fatigue) precedes hand-to-hand combat.
This means that any waver test caused by support
shooting will be taken before hand-to-hand casualties are
adjudicated. _________________ Roll Up and Win! |

Just trying to be helpful - I'd love to help out when I can.
We're all busy these days - I am here for WARRIOR help if need be.
