Has anyone out there actually fielded cataphract camels? Are there circumstances where their cost is justified?

What nasty little things can they (beyond spitting abd biting) do?

Ewan, will you be posting directions the the C5N event?
Cheers

I doubt anybody has. The cost-benefit analysis deems them lacking.

SHCm are absolutely devastating against SHC.

Otherwise they suck Smile.

I believe that Palmyran is the only one. And if you're running Palmyran, you should take them, of course Smile.

They are very useful in fighting mixed units of mounted as well. Not only disordering the mounted unit but also exposing the rear less armored rank to HTH.

They are Gods in sand.

Also, the Warrior guys should aloow SHC and SHCm to expand during follow up.

It just dawned on me that we should extend the X rule which knocks 8 points off the cost of SHC to SHCm.

Consider that a "go" until I get around to updating the web page to that effect.

Parthians can have them also.....
I actually have the figs painted, I think they've seen a battle once, maybe twice......the points for a unit that is so easily avoided AND disorder your own SHC + LC is just too much to handle!!
Anything that makes SHC/SHCm cheaper is a good thing Laughing
