Scott:
I noted you indicated preset terrain for Cold Wars. Does that also mean the following will be used from Fall In? I've pasted in the exact statement from the Fall In listing.
-Deployment will be done as follows:
Player with highest scouting number chooses his starting side; if equal points, players roll, high die picks starting side.
Scouting ratio of 3:1 = lesser force deploys 360p from baseline, greater deploys up to center line; 2:1 = less force deploys 240p from centerline, greater deploys up to center line; 1:1 = remaining forces deploy up to 120p from the centerline.
Thank you. |

No. We're not messing around with deployment special rules for CW other than the usual added depth for 15mm games.

Scott:
Thanks for the prompt response regarding preset terrain.
Since we are not using any of the deployment rules from Fall In, how will it be determined which side of the table one's army will deploy on?
Thank you. |

Off the top of my head...I don't have any idea. I need to consult with Eric on this.
But, if backed into a corner I'd say that if one side outscouts the other, the outscouting side gets to pick table side. Otherwise, random selection, not high die gets to choose, more like 1-3 we're on this side, 4-6 we're on the other side.
