 |

We had an interesting question about how we could grow the hobby, and one area that seems to have shrunk (in my opinion) is the warhammer ancients group - however there are a lot of armies out there.
So how could we convert warhammer armies to warrior - without people having to rebase?
The goal would be to have a quick way of allowing someone to play Warrior with current figures, and so potentially start playing teh game.
Any thoughts?

Good point.
To me the big problem with WAB and Warrior basing is more the close order troops. Cavalry, I think is pretty close the same, LMI,L HI and LI and LC are also close.
Matt and I have played both basing WAB v Warrior. You just have to line them up by element v element(figure out the number of figs that would fit into 6cm or 4cm elements.
it is not a great solution but it worked.

We have a Warrior 30mm basing conversion already.
It should have passed over into the downloads section. I will dig it up if i don't see it there and ask Scott to post.
Basically, double everything in 15mm. _________________ Roll Up and Win! |

Play in 30mm and make the armies no larger than 1200 pts and you're pretty close.

One more thought on this:
Table size. Having put no thought into this, I'd think taking an 8x5 table with terrain size right out of 25mm would work in a 30mm game at 1200 points.
I have a crapload of metal bases from Ren Ink for 30mm. I could easily drop my 25mm bases on top of them and play. Would be interesting to try.
