A great time was had by all. We had four players for the 25mm mini, and 6 on Saturday. Armies included Anglo Irish, Neo Assyrian, Moldavian, Islamic Persian, Huns and two others that will get named later.

For future events in Lancaster, avoid the Travelodge (formally Canadiana) Hotel.

For the full rant,

WOW
Sounds like a step below the Bates Hotel.

I've stayed at most of the places on your "personal blacklist". None of them are spectacular; strictly crash pads. But I have no real complaint either. Super 8 has been the most consistently mediocre (that's a compliment in this context) of that group.

That black list is all the Wyndham owned hotels, not from personal likes and dislikes, though the Knights Inn's up the street from the Host is also especially degraded in quality.

My main complaint is that Wyndham knew the renovations were in progress and the degree of impact it would have but still insisted on staying open. Though I am sure the cobwebs didn't just appear the day I showed up.

As a followup, we will have to replace our car mats because of the asphalt, and my night time air mask (for snoring) smelled of hotel after I came home.

The gift that keeps on giving.

I have pictures of Day one, but work has me swamped at the moment. The AAR's do take from 4-8 hours each to write.

Phil - I certainly understand that as a writer of them myself. Sorry to hear you are swamped at work.

I appreciate the effort so far on your part!

Todd

Of course being swamped at work means I have work, so that is a good thing. I have one AAR 80% done. Stay tuned.
