OK
In our last battle, I had a unit of Irreg E Peasants.
A couple of questions came up.
Like "Does anybody know anything about Irreg E??"
The three of us looked at each other and shrugged?
We started looking through the rules and found little
other than they take a waver to be prompted to charge and
any up rolls become negative dice. Other units don't take wavers
for seeing them route.
Now instruct the ignorant
"Can they charge??"
"Can the charge impetuously?"

E's do not get a rear rank when fighting, E's don't shoot from the rear rank.
E's can charge, but not impetuously. _________________ Phil

Do other units care if they rout? Do you pay command points for them? |

No and Yes. The rules governing waver checks expressly exempt bodies entirely made up of 'E' class. But bodies of 'E's are units, and must pay the command cost. _________________ Phil

Irr E LMI B can skirmish...and thus get 1/2 the 2nd rank of bow firing that way, as such are not a rear rank.
Thus they have some use...and are very cheap...and as no one cares if they rout you can slap them right into your line here or there (although they prefer to be in terrain).

Ahhhhhh......
A light goes off in my feeble brain.
Thanks Frank. You are giving me an idea.
