Mark Gribbs and Jim Bisagnani organized a Fast Warrior Tournament and demonstration last Sunday. More details to follow, but they managed to pull 4 experienced players and about 4 men interested in trying out Warrior.

The Tourney went 3 1.5 hour rounds with one of the new comers taking the day.

I'm very interested because I assume they ran it using some of the army list concepts they developed for Fast Warrior. I'm really sold on it.

The list construction rules were modified to prevent "strangeness" in the armies and keep their flavor. The only units you can have more than one of is units where there was a minimum requirement. If the minimum was zero, then you can only have one unit. PA Standards were not required. No Sub or Ally Generals. Mark can update further when his computer is back on line.

Last Sunday we had a Fast Warrior Tournament at Dragonhead in Allentown, Pa. It started at 11:00 AM and was over by 4:30 PM. It consisted of three rounds, was in 15mm, and used a modified 750 point list. We had 8 players, 5 of which had never played Warrior before. I'd like to thank Phil, Bill, and Jim who greatly helped the new players along. Congradulations to Payton, who was the overall winner.

1. Payton Kelly-NcNally, Alexander Macedonian - 15 points
2. Mike Hunsicker, Anglo-Norman - 12 points
3. Mark Stephens, Early Imperial Roman - 8 points
4. Greg McNally, Nickophorean Byzantine - 7 points
5. James Mrozoski, Early German - 5 points
6. Phil Gardocki, Palmyran - 4 points
7. Bill Low, Later Carthaginian - 1 point
8. Jim Bisignani, Later Carthaginian - 0 points

Everyone seemed to have a good time. Talking to Steve the owner of Dragonhead after the tournament, there are two more new players that just couldn't make it this time, plus several customers expessed interest in joining a future game, and finally two of our new players bought figures to paint up their own fast warrior armies. Jim and I will most likely try and do another one in two or three months. Congradulatoions and thanks to all who helped and came out to make this a successful tournament.

Mark
