I already told Scott I could do the umping. Not a big deal for me since I will definitely be there and the Theme is definitely not my period of interest.

Mark is umping. It's perfect in that if we have an odd number, he can play but doesn't really "need" to play like I do. Laughing

Note change to the Theme.

Lysimachid is now -5% (was 0%).

Special terrain rules for Nabataean Arabs.

Is there a loaner Army I can use for the theme? Amazing as it sounds I have nothing in 25's for that time period.
Thanks,
Phil

There's got to be something...I know there will at least be a backup army for use by Mark Stone, the referee, in the case we have an odd number.

I am fascinated to see what gets chosen for this. Finally had time to think about the choices this week - yes, I am very excited to be making H'con for the first time in a while! - and I think that in general the weighting has done an excellent job of making the default-obvious choices appropriately less attractive.

Scott and Derek deserve a lot of credit for much of the work. Bill and I pitched in here and there.

One organizing thought is that pike armed elephants beat up pike, so restrict the armies that get access to large numbers of those (especially the three crew Seleucid versions).

Of course Barbarian foot have a slight edge against elephants (at least if they have some A morale)...but this is really a die roll.

There are some fine points about what amount and morale pike you take if going that route, and what size units...and then how do you police the extra table width with what supporting troops.

Dense long range missile fire is missing...and various foot are fairly impervious to the open order bows we could see.

Interesting choices to be made indeed.
