Just received my rulebook and a handful of army list booklets and am reading hungrily. I live in Harriman, NY, (Just south of Newburgh) and am hoping to find a few Warrior veterans nearby.

I've got a few score games of DBM under my belt (so very very happy to read rules that are not in Barkerese!). I will be ready for an evening of Fast Warrior or 1600-2000 match up versus my Crusaders in a week or two, after digesting the Warrior rules.

My favorite armies:

Crusaders and enemies
Slavs
Hungarians
Mongols
War of the Roses

Awesome! Looking forward to meeting you all! Am hungrily digesting the rulebook and reading thru the forums.

Hoping to go to cold Wars.

Hi Cary,

We have a somewhat active group with some scattered people in CT, Western and Eastern MA, and NY state (near Albany or so)

Play has shifted towards 25mm but we all have a ton of 15mm armies.

I'm in Foxboro, MA but we often game in and around the Wilton, CT area.

How far away are you from there?

Todd

Hey Todd! I am about 1.5 hours away from Wilton. Please let me know when you plan a get-together and I will attempt to make it! My interest and focus is in Dark Age armies thru High Medieval era, but I do have 25mm Successor and Indian armies (unpainted, from a Classical Hack event I attended back in 2000). I will keep reading rules and resume painting greeks, or bring a matched pair of 15mm armies.

Cary

May I introduce myself.
I am called Ed the Rash.
The Toddmeister has done well in introducing you to
the group. Actually, the Toddmeister and I have a
challenge match coming. He has the Ark and Artuos(Romano-Brits)
needs it and the Grail.
We look forward to crossing swords with you.

Shocked Victim? Shocked *prepares to turtle his army in the corner of the board behind terrain and sends messengers galloping off to delay the double flank marches*

I look forward to some battles!

Hey, Cary!

I may be the closest to you - just south of Albany, NY. Would be delighted to have you come up for a game if that would be convenient!

Best is to email me - emcnay at albany.edu - as my presence here is sporadic at best..

If you can make it to Ewan's
I will try my mostest to get there as well.
Also COLD WARS is coming and I think you
said you were going.
Look for the Warrior Tourney there.
I can't make it to Cold Wars but you
will see many of the Northeast group there
Just look for the most distinguished, intelligent,
cultured, renowned, friendly, and generally nice group of guys.
That's the Northeast guys.
Look for a fellow Named Dan Wolkye(sp)
Ed the Barbarian.

I have not yet been to a major gaming event like Cold Wars but would like to go in March. Am terrified to think that my new-ness with Warrior might betray a partner in a doubles tourney, and doom our troops to an ugly route... I am inclined to do DBM at this Cold Wars, until I am better versed in the intricacies of Warrior.

I rubbed shoulders a couple of times with the Warrior community at PointCon (a decade ago). Yes, yes, they are all the things you say they are!

I think you will find most players are OK with a green player learning in this event - post in the event track if you want a partner

I totally agree with Robert. I think there are players who would like to have
a newbie partner.
If I was going, I would love to partner with you. However, you would be at a disadvantage, since if you have read any of my AAR's, I am not the greatest player.
I think it would great for you since you in the game as well as having a tutor next to you to help you.
Please consider it.
