I just got the recent flyer from OMM from Dennis Shorthouse and ordered a couple of Books! One is about the rise of the Seleukid Empire and the most recent one is about Antiochus III! I just can't wait to get them in the mail!! Has anyone read either of these books yet? Just curious!

Well, I just read the justification for Ptolemy having caltrops! Looks like he and Seleucus (Ptolemy's second in command) used spiked chains and caltrops to foil Antigono's elephants! They placed them in front of Ptolemy's cavalry to bait the elephants into charging and used light troops with Javelins and bows to further enrage them to flee. Great books indeed!
