It's Anglo Irish vs Norse Irish

This is the first round of Warrior 1200, "Mini" Tournament at Cold Wars, at the Lancaster Host in Lancaster. Pitting Anglo Irish verses the Norse Irish

There is also a promotion for a fine Motel about 2 miles from the Host.

Enjoy!

Phil claims his Bombards were useless...however, at least in our battle, they did force a 'split' in my deployment and attacks, and prevented me from rushing headlong into the longbowmen.

I generally agree with his conclusions at the end of his AAR, but that die roll exchange and my passing my wavers for the deaths of units once his knights attacked, were the key here.

In my case I thought Shieldwall guys could walk into the Longbowmen, but if I had calculated the timing better I would have realized that they would never get there in the time we had to play.

I also had a couple of units somewhat out of position, including one of the 5E Luchtige who never accomplished anything.

It's hard to judge indirect effects. All I see are bombards shooting at skirmishing LI, which is a waste. I can't really judge how much effort was involved with you doing your best to get them to split fire.

Great AAR
Actually, seeing the first pic. I thought Frank was a lot taller Laughing Cool
I know what you mean about the cannon.
As Lt Graham said to Major Dundee.
"Only thunder bolts can be preferred to cannon"
Also Love the Knights of the round table. If I could see how I could use them, I would get them....
Maybe I need to use a blog to do my AAr. Can't seem to get my pics with the narrative.
Don't know how to use a blog....

Thanks Ed. I am writing up our Anglo-Irish vs Zulu game this morning. I know you have been replying to my missives for a while, but I didn't associate your name to the man behind the table till about 10 minutes ago.

If you are truly interested in blogging and AAR's I'll be happy to assist. Let me know, and we can talk on the phone.
