If armed with JLS and then given 1HCW as well do they still fight two full ranks 1HCW + JLS?

Nope...fighting two full ranks with LTS or JLS (as, say, late period New Kingdom Egyptian royal guard, or other similar) does NOT entitle those troops to gain two full ranks of any other weapon.

So, if troops who had 1HCW,JLS were entitled to fight two full ranks with JLS, they would get 1.5 with 1HCW + JLS, and the remaining .5 with other + JLS.
