First - thank you 4 horsemen (and helpers) for remaking/rewriting the lists and all the time and energy needed to do this - you are truly appreciated!

Certainly this army has ALWAYS had the allure of Irreg A SHK - boomshakalaka in the knight world.

Although if you look through the list there is another neat option to augment your knights -

Start off with French Bowmen irr D LMI B @3 pts … 0-12

Later period:
Extra to upgrade French Bowmen to Reg C MI?LMI LB @9.... any
Extra to upgrade French Bowmen to Reg B @4 and/or HI/LHI @8.... any
Extra to give Reg French Bowmen Sh @4 and/or 2HCW or Jls @4... any

4E unit - Reg B LHI/LMI LB 1/2 2HCW,Sh 1/2 Jls - 114

3 units of them is pretty decent.

an extra 8 points might be worth it for the back ranks to have shields as well for follow-up possibilities.

Those are good troops - can fight elephants and most cav - gives you a viable foot force- did not notice that _ outside of themes I don’t like IRR A but for those who do and with HK if my memory serves a very interesting list

A note that #32--Feudal French, will have some changes when we come out with the next iteration of Feudal Warrior.

So don't pin you long-term figure purchasing decisions on how it looks today.

Medieval French right?

I am excited that there may be some more medieval lists that are playable in competitive formats.

You did buy the new book. But the advantage of this approach is if we make changes, I upload the new copy and people who have purchased it get notified.

We try to keep this thing to a minimum but it happens.

We published, then had another painful email exchange on a couple of armies, #32 being one of them.

I am assuming said changes will affect the troop type I listed to start the thread.....

Oh well - back to knights and crossbowmen for the French Wink

Guess its no skin off my nose - as I am a Francophobe. Looked like it may make for a more playable list- and no HK as far as I can see.

List coming, BUT exciting to have the French bowmen

45E Reg B LHI/LMI LB or B 1/2 2HCW,Sh - 106 - 3 units of them

The "B" morale allows them to function well in the open, which is going to be needed at times as the frontage of the list is small. Maybe Bow vs. LB is better to fend off elephants.

Bummer that the knights in the later version (where the bowmen are) all have to be SHK instead of the backs being EHK - which is significant actually as 5 units is 45 points "wasted"

Going to be throwing out a few versions - and I know Mr. Stier used this list to win the NICT (would love to see his version at some point).
