Greetings fellow Warriors!

Though there are no true upsides to the pandemic, it has motivated many communities to find new ways to connect - ours included.

One opportunity we have now is the ability to try armies that may have been too impractical to play around with before. So, we are proposing an African Warrior tournament. In using the lists (virtually), we can provide feedback to FHE, and have some fun with virtual figures that are otherwise difficult to access.

There are 3 organizers: Mark Stone, Todd Kaeser and Jevon.

Details:
* Commencing Labor Day weekend.
* 1600 point lists.
* 3 rounds, each game to be at most 7 bounds.
* Usual scoring, usual deployment rules, usual x-rules and all of the African Warrior X-Rules.
* Pre-set terrain, to be African-themed.

While we've toyed with weighted lists, we've concluded that to give a fair look at the lists, they will not be weighted.

Mechanics:
* Tables with pre-set terrain will be set up on Roll20.
* Voice and text chat will be made available, per table, on Discord.
* Dice rolling will be available on Discord and Roll20 (Discord is generally preferred).

You can register for the tournament by filling out the requested information at this link. First round pairings will be announced on Discord by September 5. Roll up and have fun!

Jevon, Todd, and Mark

If folks could post armies, that'd be great too.

I am running Kanem Bornu.

We can post lists after the event.

My opponent, Bill Low, is running Maasai.

I see at least 4 Riverine Trading Cities (Mark S, Sean S, Ben M, Matt K).

Greg Hauser is Dahomey. Rob Turnbull appears to be Kanem Bornu.
