Happy New Year, folks! Our Balkan League event on Roll20 is progressing nicely, and should wrap up in the next couple of weeks. I expect we'll continue to run tournaments like this throughout 2021, given the sustained interest from the group.

Meanwhile, I'd like to announce a very different type of event that I've been working on with the help of a few folks on this email thread: a virtual Warrior campaign using Roll20 (and Discord). A campaign: two teams battling it out on a large operational map, facilitated by a referee (me), using Warrior to resolve tactical engagements, where operational, logistical, and fog of war considerations determine how and why the two sides fight.

So please take a look at this intro. I'm looking for a minimum of 6 players who are interested, and I expect the entire event to take several months to run, albeit with a pretty low bandwidth commitment from players for most of that time.

If you are interested in participating, let me know.

If you are interested in learning more, let me know. I have 19 pages of the rules in full that will govern the event.

-Mark

I am always hesitant to commit that much time to a campaign - but how are armies selected - and are there a lot of people who have signed up? How is terrain determined, how fordable are the rivers - whereis the escarpment that cannot be traversed or is it the entire valley - looks like a horse archer theme to me if most of it is grassland - dont see much in the way of copses / woods etc. etc.
