The rules are clear that when I build a unit around a general it can contain other troop types. Can a general with identical bodyguard type troops to himself also include a non bodyguard type in the unit?
I want to use my LHI 'B' grade Bodyguard Warriors Ancient British as front rank to the LMI 'C' grade Warriors. But the army list does not specify such a mix, normally prohibiting a mixed unit.
Except that generals normally can be placed with any troops of the same training and order. So might it be the case that the general's ability 'to mix where no one has mixed before' allows his bodyguard to join him in the mix.
What would the Rules allow?
Thanks again!🙂 |

No, generals cannot bring their bodyguard elements with them to mix in units. The General's staff element can mix as appropriate...alone. |
