Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

With the cancellation of Cold Wars for 2024 (they can't find a convention director), we've been casting about for some kind of replacement event for that time frame.

Bill has graciously decided to open his home in Wilton CT for a 2-day event, BillCon!

15-16 March 2024.

Friday 15th will consist of Fast Warrior, starting noon. That evening we'll play Matt's Circus Maximus setup in 15mm.

Saturday the 16th will be themed Doubles, the Theme being Italian Condotta. We're still working out the final armies and weighting for Doubles.

While Bill has plenty of room outdoors, we figure mid-March in CT, despite global warming, might not be doable. Thus, we'll be inside which means six 8x5 tables. This shouldn't be an issue for Doubles on Saturday but it means a 12-player limit on Friday. I also don't think that'll be an issue given past turnout and the fact it's Fast Warrior.

We haven't worked out lodging info yet but will post that as it becomes available.

Rich Kroupa and I will drive up from his place but the timeline on that hasn't been worked out yet.

Thanks to Todd, Frank and Bill for their collective input on this.

The following armies, point value, limitations:

25-Holy Roman Imperial, 2000pts. No Teutonic Allies. No Hungarians except the 0-8 Merc LC.
31-Italian Condotta, 1900pts. MI, F, P, Pa, N, VI versions only (so no VG, GC).
35-Free Company, 1800pts.

-Sacred Standards will cost 30pts (above and beyond other Standard costs) but will still have the X-rule 720p affect.
-One list from 2nd Ed Feudal Warrior.
-Generals must be rolled. Preset terrain. 25mm only.
-Only 1 TF may be *attempted* to be placed beyond 240p of the rear edge. Roll 1-2, fails and can only be placed in the Rear Zone (or at all, player's discretion), Roll 3-6, placed as player desired per rules.
-JLS armed cav fight 1.5 ranks in HTH combat versus any foot when charging, counter charging and pursuing.
-Barbarian Foot Rules in effect with the following addition:
Under 2(a), add "following up" as a new condition for counting 3rd/4th ranks in HTH.
-Special Rules: Barbarian Foot rules and Deployment rules in effect.
-X Rules 2.512, 2.52, 2.53, 5.11, 6.2, 8.6, 11.1, 17.1 and 17.2 in use.
-4 hr rounds

However, saying "yes I'll be there" isn't a pre-condition. If you show up, you'll play.
