Is the reason the number of Army Standards in the MR army list rises from a max of 1 to 3 if sub generals eschew their horses so that the effect of the Legionary Eagles can be represented,? I'm thinking of Caesar's first British Beach landing the success of which he puts down to an Eagle advancing on its own through the surf. Cheers.
