Doesn't anyone play FanWar in 25/28mm simply based the same as
conventional Warrior? This would be what you would need to do,wouldn't
it, in order to play against opponents existing Historical armies?>>
Yes, that occurs as well. It's just reality however that Warhammer is the most
popular fantasy game out there and the figures for it are 28+mm.
The issue is that very few companies make true 25mm any more. This is a trend
extending into historical figs as well. Warrior 25mm basing is designed for
25mm figures, not for figs that are 28-30mm but which are 'called' 25mm.
Warrior 30mm isn't just for fantasy - the time will come when the historical
hobby might someday be faced with a lack of true 25mm's and a plethora of very
nice 28+mm's - it's already begun.... We wanted to get ahead of the curve and
help prepare our players in case that happens. We also wanted to give players
of WAB a way to play Warrior with their figs without rebasing.
Foundry and Gripping Beast blow many other companies out of the water. But they
are *not* 25mm figures.....
