4.42 "A subordinate... that RECEIVED an order change does not
subtract the amount of time it took to receive the order from the
CinC."

One thing that I didn't grok until recently is that when a CinC sends
orders (and does not go over 15 minutes) Sub receives those orders in
the SAME bound.

Also, the sub is allowed to pass the orders on in the _same_ bound in
which he received them (as long as he has enough of his own time
available).

????? I think ?????

*****

The last two sentences in 4.42 confuse the hell out of me since It
seems that a "delayed" prompt incurs a one-bound penalty compared to
a normal prompt.

"...RECEIPT of the communication IS DELAYED until then [eg next bound]."

"Bodies RECEIVING DELAYED prompts cannot execute that instruction in
the CURRENT BOUND, but must execute the instruction in the next bound"

So if in Bound 1 the CinC uses 5 extra minutes to change a Sub's
orders, receipt is "delayed" until Bound 2. So far so good.

Now the next sentence says "the current bound" which is now Bound 2.

Therefore he cannot pass on the orders until the "next bound" which
is Bound 3 ?????

*****

4.43 "issue a new order on the SECOND SUBSEQUENT bound."

Subsequent to WHAT? Does the counting begin with the bound in which
the CinC SENT the order, or the bound in which the Sub RECEIVED the
order, or in the case of a delayed prompt, the bound in which the Sub
EXECUTED the order ?????

Bound 1 - CinC spends 5 of 15 minutes to send order to Sub
Bound 1- Sub receives the order and starts spending his 15 minutes
attempting to contact all his units
Bound 2-
Bound 3-

Delayed Order:
Bound 1 - CinC spends 5 extra minutes to send order to Sub, so
receipt delayed until Bound 2
Bound 2- Sub receives the order, but cannot execute it until the next bound
Boudn 3- Sub starts spending his 15 minutes attempting to contact all his units
