There was also an evolutionary process over the last 18 years that lead to
1600 points being the dominant size. Back in Rev 6 days, tournaments were
1000 or 1250 points, because that was what the game system could support in 3
hours or so. With Rev 7 the system simplified, believe it or not, and could
support larger armies. Tournaments went to 1500 points, and after a few
years of discussion 1600 points.
