Not wanting to continue experiments in fluid dynamics
here, but Doug this post and the one on quotes is
asking the other 248 people on this list to conform to
your needs. I understand your desire for order, but
currently there are not standards on how a webbrowser
differentiates between replies and replied to
material. the closest thing to a standard is what
yahoo does itself by putting a new set of ">" prompts
next to previous material in the new posting. I have
the same difficulties you do with the various forms,
but like me you'll just have to expect and live with
it.

As for having people do something as simple as not
changing topics in mid stream, well...good luck. I've
been on list servers since 1989 and I've to this day
not been able to convince one person that it is
important to stay on topic :)
