If this second admonition not to post on this topic was a response to my e-mail
I apologize. I got the first warning long after I had sent my message and
several other posts on the thread followed mine. I can only assume that there is
some server lag involved in one place or another. 'nuf said.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. Please end the thread on universities or take it
elsewhere. Thanks for your support!

Yep, it's the same in my area (population genetics). If you
want to teach in a small university/college you can sometimes get away
with a couple of years of postdoctoral work and 2-3 more years of
temporary/adjunct teaching (at slave wages). Of course if you want to go
for a research one institution you can do the 4 years of postdoctoral
work and forget about all of that teaching crap....it's just a
distraction from the important stuff anyway right .

P.S. I'm a product of Washington University the "Harvard of the
Midwest". Of course if you Google "Harvard of the Midwest" you get more
than 500 hits that include just about every university in the Midwest so
make of that what you will :-)
