Yep sounds great. Were the camps 'period pieces" or more generic? Any
chance of some photos online for those of us who are unlikely to see
them in person ?
Cheers,

Great report!
Bill Low ought to be a good damned recruiter - he part owns the thing...lol
The trophy camp idea is one of the best I have heard in a long time and we
will implement immediately..

Just updating the Warrior group with the Bernhard's Backyard BBQ
III Warrior Tournament results.
This was held on Sunday, May 25th. This was a 25mm 1200 point mini
format. There were 14 players under the "big tent" in my backyard.
As previous BBQ Tournies, Tim Brown left with the first place
trophy. A total of three newbie ranked players attended the event,
along with several of my neighbors who expressed an interest at the
Fast Warrior level.
Kudos and many thanks to the following. First, the Four Horsemen,
for elevating me to 5th Horseman. The gift certificates were the
best prizes I could give to a bunch of veterans who have
the "unfortunate" problem of suffering from the too much unpainted
lead. The top three placing players can't wait to apply there gift
certs to the latest army list book. Next, to Jake Kovel and he and
his wife's company, Silver Eagle Wargame Supplies. Jake pulled
together some 25mm Fast Warrior armies and got them to me in time.
Bill Low won the "door prize" which was a 25mm Fast Warrior Neo-
Hittite Army. Next to Scott Holder, who provided me with
his "official" Lancaster Con scoring system. Without it I would
have had a three way tie for first place. Also to Bill and Devon
Low. The have an amazing felicity for recruiting new people in the
Warrior rules set. There should be something that NASAMW or the
Warrior group could do for them, and people like them who have such
a charismatic way of influencing people to play with little metal
soldiers versus computer games. Finally many, many thanks to
everyone who attended. This year's BBQ tourney turnout increased
by 75%!
The trophy bases were made to be a 25mm Warrior camp (120x120).
Hopefully all those who received a trophy and plan on attending
Historicon will be proud to display their Trophy Camps.
I look forward to Historicon. I have a 15mm Fast Warrior "Demo"
tournament that apparently has a high profile location. The winner
will receive a set of Warrior rules. Additionally, I will be running
a Warrior based Battle of Tannenberg on Saturday with a similar high
profile location. The winning side will also receive a set of
Warrior rules. If anyone is free on either Thursday night or Sat
night at Historicon let me know. We can encourage the people who
played in these games to play in the Fast Warrior Tournament on
Sunday. Let us all help in getting new people in this rule set!

The camp trophies were based around the BBQ Tournament. I purchased
a few things from a local dollhouse supply store and added some
painted figs. First place camp was an armored medieval standard
bearer holding a spatula. In front of him was a plate with a
hamburger and chips. Flanking the plate was a bottle of ketchup and
a bottle of mustard.
The Best Camp Looter trophy has a cooler filled with ice and soda
cans. Again a standard bearer was used but this time he had a can of
beer in his hand. The last place trophy was a miniature charcoal
grill with a burnt pig on the grill (The Burnt Remains trophy).
Glossy photo paper was used to print out the trophy titles and glued
to the trophy base. If Tim Brown is watching this thread, please
send a picture of your trophy (Carolyn and I forgot to take pictures
of the trophies). If Jim Bisignani is watching this thread please
bring your trophy to Historicon. Pictures of the tournamnet will be
uploaded tommorrow.
