I am not blowing you off, Boyd, but I assume you are asking folks at large
and not us. We are not revising the rules from the standpoint of making
changes - we are fixing broken language to make them clearer.
If you know the 'party line' on command points (and let me add that I
participated in buying 7th because I love the engine and the command factor
system
is one of the aspects I like best), then I am assuming you don't need me to
reiterate it?

One of the flavors of DBM that is a nice touch is that each element
is costed in relation to the others. This is so in Warrior, but the
costs of some troops is not in proportion to their value on the
field. The S standard discussion started me thinking about this
again, so sorry for the detour.
Here is an example:
The difference in cost from IrgD to RgD is marginal, yet the
irregular pay more in command points per unit and have less
capabilities aside from being able to charge stronger. What would it
look like if we simply did away with command points, then lowered the
points totals for armies?
6E IrgD LI B would cost 12 points rather than 37
6E RgC LI B would cost 36 points rather than 46
I know my math is probably wrong, I don't have the book in front of
me.
I just know that my IrgA HC L/sh cost less than equivelant RgB HC and
are much more dangerous.

Jon, I'm thinking that it can be incorporated in some way. the
engine is fine, but the cost relationship seems to me to be off in
some ways. It is not a knock at all. Rather that a refinement might
be in order to simplyfy things in the same vein as costing by element
rather than be figure. Just wondering out loud
