Cool. Never knew this. I always thought they squeezed through and then
reformed on the other side. How long have the got to revert to even ranks?
Must it be done in the next possible move?

>Ah, this is enlightening. Just goes to show you how the ambiguities in
that "other" set of rules led to totally different playing in different
parts of the country. The "expand back" would be a totally foreign
concept to anyone playing in the big east coast conventions umped by me
over the last 13 years. If someone had tried to "expand back" and I was
called over by their opponent to adjudicate, I would have said just what
Jon reiterated in earlier posts.
