Okeedokee then...I have every new Foundry Viking that has been
released, and have just ordered the newest batch that was released,
and what do I find myself doing.....hmmm???....getting interested in
the Nikephorian Byzantines. So interested that I've ordered one of
every 25mm GB and Essex Byzantine figure available...crikey.

Anyway, I'm preaching to the choir here, but what I need is someone
to point me in a good direction for reference materials on uniforms,
shield designs, etc. BTW, I have all the WRG books, and a couple of
the Ospreys (for Byzantines), and have just ordered a book from
Amazon that covers the Byzantine army from mid-ninth century to
Manzikert, but I'm not having much luck on locating any consistent
info on the above mentioned items.
