We're gonna be doing this at CTA. Okay, 1200 pts but that won't hose up
anything plus we're playing on smaller tables. Should make for a smack in yo
face kinda tourney which means all you folks who talked about making this a big
show (ie coming in from out of town) should plan on attending. Harken back to
conversations last year about trying to start something sizeable here in the
center. This is our attempt.
Some of us locals will room with you in order to cut expenses and if you fly in,
someone can pick up and drop you off at the airport.
Please make an effort to come. I'll ensure lotsa of local vs out of towner
matchups.
For details on the dates and such, go to www.hahmgs.org
Here's the format:
15mm, 1200 point, Open
Table: 4'x4', three terrain features each.
Lists: Any published FHE list, any published compatible list NOT superceded by
an FHE list. For lists available and superceded, go to
www.fourhorsemenenterprises.com. (note: the supercession list will be updated
immediately after Cold Wars so that means if you're playing something like LIR,
it'll have to be the FHE list).
Rounds: Four 2.5-hour rounds. First round Friday, April 30 2004 at 1900.
Rounds 2 through 4 start at 0900 Saturday May 1, 2004.
Prizes:
1st through 3d places
Best Painted
Best Camp
Best Rookie (if no one is absolutely new to the game, we award this to the
person who has never previously qualified for the NICT)
Best Terrain
The Coveted DGS Military Misfortune Award (last place)
Best Terrain: Single best constructed and painted terrain feature. Must be
sized for 15mm Warrior play according to Warrior rule 14.3. Construction cannot
employ felt.
I'm umping this one although I'll also be the fill in player if we have an odd
number.
Please make an effort to attend this event. We've got great prizes and have
tried to balance the format so that there are plenty of rounds without making it
too draining.
Scott
