Hi, the rules seem to imply that cavalry moving through brush are
disordered but I can't find where it says that explicitly. Are
cavalry moving through brush disordered, and if they are still in the
brush when charging, do they then have two causes of disorder (1-
disordered from previously moving through brush 2- cavalry charging
through brush)

Question assumes that this unit is not SHC.
The answer, I think, but Jon can confirm, changes depending on whether the
mounted in question is close or loose order.

Tim's right. SHC and Elephants (mounted that are close order) would be
disordered by brush, even if not charging.
Chariots cannot enter brush (rough areas).

Thanks, Jon, now I understand why the rules are written that way-
SHC and Elephants might have to take a waver test if they charge
through brush, while LC can wander through it mostly without
restriction - sounds like brush is the best Thracian terrain (it is
strange that LI have their movement reduced in brush but LC don't
though).

Just to be clear, SHC and El would be disordered by moving in brush, but there's
no terrain that causes a waver test.

Jon,
Does this apply to close order cav? Additionally, in a mixed order body
of SHC/EHC/HC/MC, would the body as a whole be disordered or just the close
order cav while moving through the brush if this is the case?

Please remember, Emilio - individual elephants could trot through such terrain
with little difficulty. Its a group of them and their crew remaining effective
as a 'formation' that is the issue.
