Several folks have inquired about Classical Warrior so perhaps it's a good time
to answer those questions.
Will Classical Warrior be for sale at Cold Wars?
Yes.
Will Classical Warrior armies be "allowed" for use at Cold Wars?
No. I guess theoretically you could purchase the book Friday and play an army
in Doubles on Saturday but I really don't want to spring anything on anybody at
the last minute. Best to let everybody get a chance to purchase it and digest
what's in there as opposed to getting "surprised" at the table at the last
minute. Plus, it might be perceived that some of the review staff would have an
unfair advantage if they played such an army. So, it's easier from my
perspective to "just say no"....at Cold Wars. But read on.
Will Classical Warrior armies be the ones used in the Theme at Hcon?
Yes. In fact, they'll be the only armies allowed in the theme. See
www.nasamw.org for the list of armies for the Theme. After 11 April, no tourney
I run will allow anything but FHE lists and I encourage everybody else to adopt
this. If anybody asks me about other lists, my response will be "what other
lists" :)
The Hcon theme should be a blast, I'd like to play in it actually. Any chance
to trot out Antigonus and Demetrius! Just wish I had better figs in 25mm for
it.

This will also be true of any tourney run by any member of FHE, any tourney
sponsored by FHE or by NASAMW or by a Fifth Horsemen.
Thanks!

Except the only 15mm figures I have are a DBA Ancient British army, and all
of the non-cavalry components of a Seleucid army. Neither really fits into
the theme. :(

Scott and I played as a team in the doubles two years ago using AES
and took second. He didn't do too badly, so long as he followed
instructions....

reminding me it's not the shoes or the racket, it's the player >>
I don't think it is a secret how much I agree with that...

Or possibly the bagpipes ;)
