One may also consider the "Surprise" involved with condom declaration when being
charged in the "Rear" by Theban Sacred Band troops! Imagine the surprise this
would cause their already uneasy shield bearer Greek boys! Smile I'm sure that a
waiver test would follow and pandomonium would surely result. The real question
here is, "how many causes of unease would an unlubricated ribbed (for her
pleasure, but in this case 'his!') condom create to the non Spartiate/Sacred
Band types?!? :)

will see that there might be some exceptions.

I was a bit surprised as to Scotts hasty statement that condoms be declared.
If my opponents knew prior to engagement that my unit had a condom, would
the cause of unease (condomless opponent within 1p and eager) be removed
prematurely? Also the effects of putting condoms on my troops as a
protective measure vs attack types should also be a surprise to my opponent
rather than know long before a close up visual examination could be made.

Er... this has now gone far enough, folks - probably in fact went
over the top at the first mention, but now it is really in-
appropriately graphic so okay let's not make this into a discussion
topic.

Everyone likes to show their mastery of pornography I guess but time
to moderate or self-moderate here, please. This is kind of like
being spammed by an adult hardcore site.

Thanks.

You're right, John. It should have been me that stopped it and I was slow to
pull the trigger.
Everyone: What John said.

See other emails. Yes, this is probably the way it'll go. John M: the rules
clearly state that you don't declare morale and training.

As Jon has mentioned, the 14.0 rewrite will clear up all of this.

FYI! The rules appear to state that incendiary pigs do not need to be
declared - 16.27 first paragraph. At least that is how it was played by my
opponent (and I tended to agree based on way rules written) when I
questioned it during the mini-open at historicon this year.

I am working on just such guidance and it will be in the next printing.
Scott and I are both philisophically aligned towards everything being
declared, but the bottom libe is we are hashing out better guidance and we
intend to not have this be something that players have to guess on or haggle
over.

>In the meantime, I'd suggest everybody state everything up front, caltrops,
stakes, darts, fire arrows, condoms, *everything*. At least in any tourney
I run, everything must be stated. Starting now will get y'all used to it
when it comes out in print. Obviously what you do at the local level is
entirely your business.
