Hi -

I read the update on Warrior in the latest issue of Spearpoint, and
am very interested in the Fast Warrior version. Unfortunately, I
haven't been able to find much in the way of details about Fast
Warrior, either in the draft of the rules or in any posts to this
forum. Is there a description or summary available?

Thanks,
Jack Sheriff

Stay tuned Disillusioned One. All the guys are probably at
Historicon. I was supposed to there also, but life again caught me.
John and Scott will definitely update you when they get back on line.
I wish I knew more about it.
Be patience If you wait they will come.

You're right of course, everyone is in Eastern PA. Except us Sad.
At least there's Fall In to look forward to. And maybe I'll have a
Warrior army ready by then!

>Fast Warrior per se will not be available until actual hard copy publication.
But, the gist is that each army will be around 600-700 points, one command,
one general. Armies are pre-canned with little or no variation. Table size
is smallish. The rules will be Warrior without things like marches (no need),
some setup issues, etc. Our games to date have run about 1.5 hours. And some
interesting "in-period" results occcur. For example, if you sit down at 1600
points and play Camillan Romans against Seleucids, Camillans are gonna lose
most of the time with two evenly matched players. That doesn't seem to be the
case in Fast Warrior now.

>We'd hoped to run some playtest games at Hcon, too busy. Assuming we hit our
publication date of mid-October, we'll try to put on some games at Fall In and
I'm gonna see about merging a Fast Warrior tourney into things at Cold Wars.

>I expect Fast Warrior to be something of a development. We have 276 army
lists ready to go but if there's enough interest, we can probably allow some
permutations of those basic lists at some point in the future. First we gotta
get everything else done:):)
