Men play 25mm.

15mm players give themselves away by saying LI moves 3 inches instead of 120
paces....

Since this list is as slow as molasses in January, thought I would
throw out a topic that I'm curious about. Here goes...Are there more
15mm Warrior players than 25mm Warrior players? Why do you prefer
one scale over the other, and do you have armies in multiple scales.

I, myself have only 25mm, and prefer 25mm, mostly for the aesthetics
of the figures themselves. Also, I started in ancient wargaming
(1979) where everyone played 25mm.

If you really want to play a MANS game, play with 15mm figures on a 4x8 table and do not allow anyone to deploy in the flank sectors. Watch how fast the killer army lists fall by the wayside in place of good solid tactics the second you don't have that "edge of the world" as your best friend. It actually makes you use your light troops historically .... what a concept!

I believe that Cavalry armies are best played in 15mm
than in 25mm due to overall maneuver room. Foot armies
are much better in 25mm ie: Vikings etc. . . .

In the spirit of heating up this list, I play in Deep South and was unaware
there were scales other than 25mm. Also, 25 mm armies keep one from getting
too sedentary as toting the armies to Derekcons is an excellent workout.

You are right, Jake, I do not field one complete 25mm army. I have four.

And the Han are half done - just finished that crappy heavy cav..

I can do it both ways! 2 15mm (samurai and Blemye)and one 25mm
(Kassite Babylonian when I bought it but looks like it will evolve to
Assyrian). Comps here are either 25mm 7th edition or 15mm DBM. Only
one 15mm 7th edition comp left. Very sad.

You want to talk about screwed up???
I have a 25mm Yuan Mongol Army and a 15mm Norse Irish Army.

I am working to correct that now, but let's just say that the advantage is not
on my side. Conversly
though, I have to try and whip much stuff out of my a@#. With that, I like to
enforce home army climate
(helps give me more terrain) which most people don't play much around here.

Wouldnt home army climate work against about as often as it works for you?
I mean an equal number of matchups give you or your opponent the +1, so
sometimes home climate helps, and others it doesnt.
