Tim, I'm just gonna have to research this one - please be patient.

Jon,

Forgive if this has been already covered ( I searched the archives to
no avail), but...I've noticed a(nother) distinction between Warrior
and TOG and of course I have a question. Namely...do dummy elephants
cause disorder to real elephants ? ( The wording "affects elephants
as they do horses" is missing from 16.4 ) I was on board with the
apparent change in thought until I read closely 2.33, in which the
dummy elephants are discribed as being used to frighten elephants and
horses. So now I'm wondering if they do indeed and the lack of
wording was an oversight. The cost certainly didn't go down for the
decrease in effect. ( Says the guy who routinely runs Gupta Indian
with 15 elephants...go figure ) But...Arab Conquest is starting to
look interesting and I gotta know in case I decide to paint Queen
Semiramis. If not, I can't imagine why anyone would buy a 56 point
camel when hordes of cheaper camels are available for equal effect.
Frankly, I hope you rule they do cause disorder just so I can scratch
build an elaborate model of the damned things.

Tim

Dummy elephants disorder elephants. I have to fix the clarifications anyway,
so I will fix 16.4 at the same time.

15mm dummy elephant figures do exist. Alas, none exist for 25mm which to me is
a gaping oversight. Perhaps if the Arab's become another "in vogue" army, some
figure maker will remedy this. Hey Jake! This sounds like something Irregular
should have done years ago.

Actually, they do, kind of, sort of. Take the Turkish armored elephant from
the Crusades range, nd paint it as if the armor was wicker. Not the best way
to do it, but until something better comes along...
