I really agree on the Shu. They're your basic bulk, plus whats not to love
about Reg D, front rank LTS, Sh; back rank CB. Has anyone done (played) much

me.
The shu is 8-48 (4-24 of each type) elements throughout the periods. There
are 48 available elements of labor troops convicts and peasants combined.
LCh can charge anyone.
The Qienu, Swordsmen and Marksmen all have both close and loose order options
- so rebasing necsessary from whichever way you have them.
Ok, no more peeking!

I would like to add my agreement with Allan here. There are a lot of small
elite formations, but the bulk of army sometimes seems lacking. I really agree
on the Shu. They're your basic bulk, plus whats not to love about Reg D, front
rank LTS, Sh; back rank CB. Has anyone done (played) much with the early list?
The peasants and convicts starting an empire fascinates me. I even thought a
camp with drums with the blood red heads would be a nice touch .
Unfortunately, haven't quite figured out how to organzie and use the convicts.
I've contemplated 3 rank units with 3E Irr A LMI 2HCW, 3E Irr D JLS Sh, and
3E IRR E IPW. I love massive quantities of figures and figures the E class
are a way to add bulk. I was looking at these units basically as fire and
forget systems. Point 'em and launch. Once again, I am intellectually lazy and
haven't set out and run all numbers yet, and something tells me the 'myriad tiny
unit' advocates would make mincemeat of me (just like everyone else).

BTW Allan, where are you located? My Han are currently bivouacing in the
Southern tip of Texas (140 miles from the nearest interstate).
> For the rest of the list, I think there way too many Elites, and not enough
core troops. It was an army of conscripts, how elite can they be?The Han list
gets good solid troops, but far too few of any one type, and it ends up looking
like a patch quilt, with a little of this and a little of that. I would give
just about anything for more Chi Infantry, I'd even
> take more Shu. Nothing wrong with Shu.
