Only one example comes immediately to my mind when I think about recall after a
combat repulse.

In one of the many clashes between the English and Scots there is one account in
which the English knights charged the pikes without success. They fell back,
regrouped, and charged again.

Finally, the English king(?) sent the archers forward. They shot up the pikes.
The knights then charged again and broke it up.

(Please correct my spotty history if this is wrong.)

To play this out in WARRIOR, I would assume these are different units of
knights, since the tired tin cans wouldn't be a whole lot of good on subsequent
charges.

I also assume there must be a rash S-G or A-G in there somewhere. Otherwise why
would the knights charge at all? (One thing I like about DBM is the enforced
impetuousness of things like irregular knights. I guess this would be a good
place for a scenario specific rule.)

So the horses bounce off the pikes (taking many CPFs) and then rally. Since they
are disordered, they don't rally until the end the turn.

The cowardly (what Irr D?) Scot pikes, of course, don't charge down an munch
them.

So now rallied, they need to be pulled back. I forget if they can get a
retirement order 40p from enemy. (Rule book at home.) A counter would provoke a
waver test wouldn't it?

The archers come up and shoot up the shieldless pikemen. They fall into disorder
and tire and get charged by the following knights.

Just trying to apply my weak history to the game mechanics. Does this sound
right, roughly?

Unless this is a truly unusual example, if historically the _same_
group of knights made the second charge, then they ought to be able
to prevail in WARRIOR as well.
