They do not count the TACTICAL FACTOR for exhausted. Chariots certainly
become so at 15 FP.

My friend claims that big Indian type chariots act like pillboxes,
especially in the end game when everyone is disorderd, tired, etc. I
think he just misunderstands the rule about crew not counting the
tactical factor for exhausted. I deduce that he believes that
chariot crew don't count Exhausted in any way, shape, or form.

Have I referenced all the relevent rules & correctly run these numbers? :::::

Warrior rules say:
5.14 Shaken:
"Bodies become shaken when any part of them becomes exhausted..."

9.42 Hand to hand Tactical Factors:
"Note: Elephant and Chariot crew ONLY count shooting CPF, weather,
tired and shaken.
"-2 Shaken or Exhausted"

Chariot horses... "only count when charging, countercharging,
following up or pursuing" (9.21).

A Chariot with 15 CPF is still Exhausted, and still counts a -2
because it is shaken. Nobody ever counts -2 for Shaken and _another_
-2 for Exhausted.

HCh crew vs HI is +1, JLS is +1, Tired is -1, Shaken is -2;
TOTAL = minus 1. Six crew at -1= 4 cas

HCh crew vs HC is +2, JLS is +1, Tired is -1, Shaken is -2;
TOTAL = zero. Six crew at 0= 6 cas

HI,JLS,Sh vs HCh is +1, JLS is +1, maybe -1 Facing LTS Chariot Crew,
Disordered Close is -2.
TOTAL = -1 or 0. Four figs at -1= 3 cas; at 0= 4 cas.
If in two ranks, Six figs at -1= 4 cas; at 0= 6 cas.

HC,JLS,SH vs HCh is +2, JLS is +1, Mtd charging is +1, maybe -1
Facing LTS Chariot Crew, Disordered Loose -1.
TOTAL = 2. Three figs at 2= 6 cas. If Tired, then at 1= 4 cas.

Your Pillbox actually acts just like HI at this point, with an
advantage for their cover/elevated platform that is enough to prevent
taking 1 CPF. But HI vs HI might not do a CPF on one another either:

HI vs HI is +2, JLS is +1, Tired is -1, Shaken is -2, Disordered Close is -2.
TOTAL = -2. Figure a +1 for the pillbox and you have HCh vs HI as above.
Four HI figures at -1= 3 cas.
Six figures in the Pillbox, or HI in two ranks at -1= 4 cas.
