And, Dave, your Huscarles and Beserks will be 1.5 ranks by then, I can assure
you....

Are there any FW games planned for Twistercon. I might have my
Vikings done and I'm sure someone could hone their skills on an
absolute FW novice.

I am tentatively planning to be there, and am rather a novice to Warrior
myself, so FW would be good practice.

I am willing to play a FW game or two with you. Two things must happen
first. No warrior tourney, and no other game at the con interests me (I
like to play the boat game whose name currently eludes me).

Yeah my fault here. I thought FW Huscarles had the same option as Hirdsmen
in the main list. The way they are in FW, they are already 1.5.

I thought that we were aiming at 25mm. All of those coming from Dallas have
25's and can probably furnish the maybes from the area as well. None of us
have played a 25mm tournament. I think that would be a hoot. Any one else?

I still prefer the idea of a 25 straight up tourney. FW will be okay, but
I'm pretty sure interest will start to wain as day goes on. I am definitely
in either way though.

Scott,

Don, Pat and I will all be there with 25mm armies. Our focus now is to
ensure that space and tables can be attained. Ground clothes? We all have
them, but they are 6x4. Felt sucks in this capacity, although I do have one
piece that will cover an 8x5. Recommendations/ thoughts? Pat is currently
working on 2x2 modular terrain that should be done by then and will work for
1 table. Since we may need as many as 6 tables, cover will be a potential
issue. Logistics, Logistics.....

Um, I'm not sure if we've even gotten as far as really firming up
anything tourney-wize at Twistercon.

Can we try a head count here again? This is for either a 1350 or 1600
point 3 round Saturday tourney in 15mm.

Huscarls can anyway because of the JLS. Please look at the list
closely. The list rule for "regular" Warrior will be 1.5 ranks if NOT
also armed with JLS so nothing's changed in FW.

No final decision on Beserks yet but I think we all know where I'm
going:)Smile:)

DFW should have 4 (Don, Tony, Chris, Pat) and 3 maybe's (Harlan, Gilles,
Charles).

You mention FW tourney at Twistercon. I am not inclined to do this, I would
prefer 25mm (or 15mm) 1350pts or 1600pts.

I am going. Have 3 25mm armies. Can borrow a 15mm army. Prefer full size
1600 point warrior VASTLY to FW. Will play in a FW tourny but prefer not
to. FW is great for learning game mechanics, but once you have some game
skill FW becomes boring. It is a good game if you do not have the 4-6 hours
for a full size game. FW is better than no warrior. FYI: Tournies require
space. Has any one contacted Jeff Lawrence? Sat has an uction at 6:00 PM.
Usually they require all games to stop for the auction.

I have started contacting Jeff Lawrence. I told him we had 8-15 people that
want a Warrior tourney.

BTW: The cost for getting into the Con is $10 per person. I have no idea if
we want to charge to get into the Warrior Tourney. I'll leave that upto
Scott.

In addition, if we have a 25mm FW Tourney, there could be a ton of lead to
go around. We could even submit X amount of armies and each of us randomly
draw for the army we play.

Excellent. I've recently had an epiphany, that I'll soon share with
everyone regarding this hobby of ours. All my stuff is 25mm BTW, so
any gaming that I do will be in 25mm. I will be there and I know
that Steve Schifani will be there and maybe some other WAB gamers
from DFW. FW would provide a nice introductory vehicle for these
guys, a lot of which, gamed WRG a long, long time ago (in a galaxy,
far, far away).
