So Jon, should we be trying to build cons by focusing on 15mm?

Seems at odds with the huge support for 25s that you've advocated on
other forums.

I do appreciate not wanting people to use your own painted figures.
OTOH, we are bringing 4 armies to Nashcon including 3 painted by Greg
Croyle and we are going to let folks use them. One is a 2d place
winner at Historicon's painting contest.

IMO the question is support of the hobby and deciding what direction
we should be going in. If the answer is 15mm then lets go that
direction all the way. But, that again is a bit too political for
here, so I'll stop.

We really need help finding some medieval 25mm stuff to support Kelly
and Steven Hollowell who are planning to come over from Missouri.
Anyone with figures they are willing to loan?

Larry

What did I say that led to that? My collection is as my collection is - has
nothing to do with any 'build con' strategy...lol

Huh? I think people should play in the scale they choose. If a group of people
is deciding which scale an event should be in, I think a vote of the applicable
group should be taken and the majority should decide. I think Nashcon should be
in whatever scale those who attend decide - it should not be tied to how many
armies of what scale i have in my personal collection...lol

Everyone knows I think 25's 'sell' the hobby better at major cons, mostly
because it is true, but that has nothing to do with my preference not to loan
out my 25's...
If more Nashcon attendees want 15's, then it should be in 15's. If more want
25's - as seems to be the case, it should be 25's...

Noted. This has what to do with me, exactly? lol

Larry, I explained why I do not personally loan out my 25's - leave it to you to
make that into anything else but why I don't loan out my 25's...lol

You know, it's ok for people to not loan lead. It isn't like giving blood to
the injured.. I think you should leave it to simply asking and leaving
judgments out of this..

Jon,
I for one fully understand your reasons for not loaning your 25's out. You
simply do not have to justify it to anyone. As someone who paints much of his
own lead, I certainly do not wish to be the public loaner who's figures are
bouncing along I-70 to Historicon or Nashville either. Besides, your support of
the hobby is not in any way in question. I'm just in a Medieval kind of kick
lately and was throwing it out there.

Scott,
If you are amenable to the idea, I will gladly paint a unit up for you or give
you something painted of mine in 25mm. I realize that I'd be putting you out for
a loaner and I think you should get something for being kind if you were to
trust me with your figures.

Kelly
