Does anybody use them and recommend them?

If so, where is a good place to get them in the US?

Scott,
I seem to remember this question being asked on the Medieval Warfare Group.
Terry Gore has Foundry backing his MW game and I seem to remember him answering
that same question. I will see what I can find out for you.

Scott,
I have your answer on the Foundry Paints. Believe it or not there was a
discussion about this very topic and most agreed that these are excellent
paints. A link was given by one of the list members and here it is
www.brigadegames.com I hope this helps!
