I know I said I would not post on the gap issue, but I thought you
might like this.

Patrick, Joe and I just left the all nude bar and I must say we saw
many gaps.

Some of the gaps were obviously bigger than 2 elements wide and we
did not want to charge them even though the rules allowed us to do so.

The gaps that were less than 2 elements wide looked very good for
charging into.

The problem is our CINC (wives) were very specific in their orders.
Look at any gap you want but DO NOT CHARGE. Dudes we were under wait
orders and could get no prompts. I saw one gap so sweet, I was
impetuous to the max, but I wa not IRR A so could not charge. To
make matters worse the gap opened and closed before my eyes, but my
damn wait orders would not allow me to charge. I wanted to do it
even if it meant interpenetrating (oh yea!) Oh well.

I guess I just wanted to say that in this particulat engagement, even
though we saw many fine gaps that looked like they could be frontaly
charged our orders precluded that action.

May all your units be under attack.

Don

Sounds like you were all armed with JLS and not LONG THRUSTING SPEAR.

Or, better yet, P or even L.

Don, best post of the year award goes to you. Can you collect at HCon?

Jon

Alas I will not be there. I will be at home polishing my weapon.

Don, I must admit that I've never heard "it" called
that before! Most people use different terminology.
But I must tell you that "Polishing your weapon" can
lead to blindness!"
