Scott,

Are bowmen always loose or close formation and archers always open?

In DAW there are lists that seem to make this distinction. Bowmen are
LMI or MI and the archers are LI.

>That is a generic naming convention we adopted from the outset although we mi
ght have missed one or two in BW. DAW *should* be consistent throughout and H
W most definitely is.

If a list read as follows

Grunts Irr C MI/LMI JLs, Sh @ 12 pts if MI, @ 9 pts if LMI......16-32
Extra to upgrade Grunts to HI/LHI @8pts if MI, @6pts if LMI.....0-1/3
Extra to give entire units of Grunts B@4pts if MI,@3pts if LMI..0-1/2

Could for example I have the following units

8E Irr C LMI Jls, Sh
8E Irr C MI Jls, Sh
4E Irr C HI Jls, B, Sh + 4E Irr C MI Jls, B, Sh
4E Irr C HI Jls, B, Sh + 4E Irr C MI Jls, B, Sh

This would give me a total of

32 Elements of grunts, 1/3 of which have been upgraded to HI and 1/2
of all elements have a B (two entire untis)

If this is illegal please explain why.

Grunts IrrC MI/LMI Jls/Sh @ 12 pts if MI, @ 9 pts if LMI.........8-24
Extra to upgrade grunts to HI @ 8 pts if MI, @ 6 pts if LMI.....0-1/3
Extra to give entire units of Grunts B@4pts if MI,@3pts if LMI..0-1/3

Could for example I have untis as follows

4E IrrC HI Jls,B,Sh + 4E IrrC MI Jls,B,Sh
8E IrrC LMI Jls,Sh
8E IrrC MI Jls,Sh

This would be 24 Elements in total
With 1/3 of the Elements HI
And 1/3 of the Elements with B (one entire unit)

>This is fine. Exactly how it's supposed to work.
