Genghis Con Warrior Tourney, Feb 19, 2005, Denver
1200, 15mm, 4'x4', 2.5 hours.

1st Alex Vaeth Norman Conquest Welsh 13
2d Jon Cleaves Tlaxcallan 12
3d Mike Turner Han Chinese 10
4th Jon Becker Early Polish 8
5th Charles Yaw Sassanid 7
6th Steve Hollowell Medieval Spanish 2

Genghis Con has always been one of the best 'other cons' out there (after the
big three). It is primarily a fantasy/sci-fi con, but has always had a solid
historical contingent. In the late 80's and early 90's it had a regular WRG
event and in 1992 its sister con, Tacticon, held the NICT. After 93-94, WRG
died out in CO and the con has flirted with DB(X) ever since.
We didn't have a lot of attendance, but it was great to see Warrior played at
this con and we got some definite interest. The games looked good, for a
tourney, and while we still need work on terrain overall, the quality of the
armies was solid.
We didn't get the prize support we would have liked from the con, but now that
we have a toehold, we will be supporting it fully from the DGS, FHE and other
sources.
Whatever stories you may have of bad Warrior luck, don't bother telling them to
Steve - he's got ya beat...
Easily completed 1200 point games in 2.5 hours.

Great time, and thanks to the players for making this quite easy to run. I
*think* I had a rules question once in there, but don't remember...

J
