I've said this before- I think that one of the "terrain" options
ought to be the ability to change the width and or depth of the table
to some degree.

If I'm playing a horse nomad army, I would want to make the table
wider, and it would be historically accurate for me to attempt to do
battle in a location where I have a wide frontage to work with.
