The miniseries on the USA cable channel starts tonight at 8:00 EST.
I heard bits of dialogue in the previews like "We must fight for our country!"
Oh, well. I did see a boars tusk helmet or two. The rest of the armor
looked like yer standard Horrywood blackened hoplite gear.

You have been warned.

As long as Helen is a babe and used that hot English accent, all the rest can
be forgiven!

I hate when that happens ...

Well, perhaps hate is too strong a word. Lets go with ...

Who am I kidding, I don't even watch television. I'm far too busy thinking up
slimmy tactics for Warrior.

P.S. Don't have a cow ... this wasn't serious!

Cheryl was not particularly impressed with their marriage tradition.
How was that for a wedding ceremony! Your prospective wife must stand
completely exposed in front of all of groom's friends in order to please said
prospective groom.

OH, I didn't know she looked like that, I don't want her. Any of you guys
want her?!
Those Greeks.

Not in this case though. These guys are gonna go to war over booby Helen
tonite. A face that could lauch a thousand ships and all that stuff. What a
nice twist though, that Troy was aligned with Sparta. I can imagine the
Spartans sitting there shaking their heads in ironic disbelief....."You guys
are fighting over a girrrrrrrrrrrrrrl? But we do love a good fight so count
us in!"

The Mycenaean Laconia of pre 1000 bc and the Dorian Sparta that came
after were very probably quite different in temperament.
