I plan to play in the Warrior 1200 point mini tournament. I would
like to play in 25's but that probably is to much to hope for. So I
think I will bring from the dust bin one of the 15mm armies retired
after the acceptance of Rev 7. Something Byzantine, with EHI axmen
sounds about right.

I am planning on playing in the Warrior minitournament at Historicon in
25mm. That makes at least 2 25mm players I know of. Any other 25mm Warriors
planning to play?

There is no 7.6 mini at Historicon. It is a Warrior mini. Both scales. The
open, theme and NICT are 7.6.

Jon,
By the number of replays, I have 5 25mm players (including me and you),
but some are not clear if it is a Warrior mini or a 7.6 mini.

Try Harrisburg or Allentown airports. Harrisburg is about a 45 minute drive,
Allentown a little more than an hour. Both have rather decent service.

Right now I'm finalizing flight plans...to attend Historicon. I thought I
would query the group to see if I can get any assistance Wink, or whether it's
just me flying into some city and renting a car, then driving into
Lancaster.

I'll be flying out of Orange County (or Los Angeles), California on the
morning of Thursday July 24th in time to play in the Warrior theme event
Friday morning, and then the NICT...I'd be leaving Sunday afternoon/evening.

I have flown into Lancaster, PA before...but it has certain difficulties Wink
(restricted hours of operation, only one airline). I could fly into
Philly...

A big public thank-you to Charles Randow for assisiting me in the
Fast Warrior "demo" Tourney. It is great to know there are people
who take time away from Con-gaming to help with recruiting new
players to the game.
Two people from the Dallas played on Thurs night and had a ball.
They received a set of Warrior rules and were already deciding on
what Fast Warrior army they should play. Don, here is your chance to
close the deal ;)

Unfortunately everybody I know up here in Toronto is involved in other
things than Historicon which leaves me reaching for both transportation and
accomodation. So...

1. Does anybody have a small section (say 2'x6') of hotel room I could use
(paying a reasonable amount of the rental). I'm small, quiet, and don't
take up much space.

2. Is anybody driving from Ontario, or passing through Rochester NY, that
could take a passenger to Historicon and back. Again, I'm small, quiet, and
don't take up much space, and will pay a reasonable amount of gas and other
charges.

It's also likely I would offer to paint a command stand free of charge to
such helpful souls...

Michael, given _your_ painting talent its a deal.

If you do not already have accomodations I have a no-smoking room to
myself at the Super 8 from Thursday afternoon through Saturday
morning (couldn't afford to swing the extra day to make it through
Sunday). You can sleep on the floor or, if you want to paint more
(lol!) I will bring a sleeping bag and you can have the bed!

And if someone else already took you up on this one all I can say is
drat!

If you could get fairly far into western PA I could help with a ride
but not all the way from NY.

Take it easy, see you there,
John

Unfortunately though a hotel room has been offered, I still have no way to
get there. So, here is my last call for a ride from somewhere in either
Ontario, or near to Rochester NY. I will pay any extra gas required for a
detour, and will virtually certainly be talked into painting some figures
for free...

Sorry to not get back to you sooner, but I had problems at my end about even
being able to go due to sudden conflicts that have finally been happily
resolved.

I am interested in the room. If I passed you the money via PayPal, could
you get it for Saturday night also? (assuming it is still available that
is).

P.S. I am honoured at your opinion of my painting skill...

Michael,

The spot in the room is yours if you can make it there.

I would prefer any payment to be 'in kind' as it were. Figure out
whatever you would want to pay for the room and tell me how many
figures I can give you at whatever rate you charge! Seems fair
enough and if it makes you happy it makes me happy too.

I am not set up for pay pal in any event. But it is just not going
to become a problem for you. You have a spot, free if you like come
right down to it, that is what is important.

Write me offline (jjmurphy@...) and we will fill in the
details. See you in 11 days! This is the highlight of my summer
every year.
