Scott,

i am a little confused (I know not an unknown state for me). The NASAMW
shows that the Seleucids (early version only) are an army for the theme. Am
I to understand by your earlier post that this is not so?

This schedule is a repeat of last year's. Yes, I know it won't please some but
after *long* thought, I felt it best to go with what worked. Those who don't
like this, your concerns have been noted and given *serious* consideration.

A couple of things that you'll see down below but that aren't online yet:

1) May Clarifications and Updated Section 12.14 of the rules: those aren't out
yet but will be sometime later this month. Jon's aware of this and will get
those to you within 2-3 weeks.

2) Classical Warrior X-Rules: I'll have these up next week. There are 2 but
I'll keep you in the dark until I get em posted:)Smile:)

I look forward to seeing lots of Alexanders and Antigonuses (but Seleucus and
his descendents can stay home) at Hcon. I'm going to try and play in the Theme,
either scale, should I find a suitable substitute umpire or will be more than
willing to be the floating odd person (no comments please >grin<) in either
scale.

WARRIOR HISTORICON 2005 SCHEDULE

Thursday: 1200 Pt Mini Open, 15mm only, 1 list (12:00 PM/4:00PM/8:00PM); 1600
pt NICT 25mm only, 1 list, Preliminary Rounds (12:00PM/7:00PM).

Friday: 1600 pt Theme 15/25mm, 1 list (9:00AM/2:00PM/7:00PM).

Saturday: 1600 Pt NICT Final Rounds, 1 list; Open 15mm only, 1 list, Times for
both (9:00AM/2:00PM/7:00PM).

Sunday: Finals as needed at 9:00 AM for Mini, Open, Theme.

Table sizes for all events: 8x5 for 25mm, 6x4 for 15mm.

Rules are white-cover Warrior with Clarifications from May 2005 and revised
Section 12.14, both available at the warriorrules yahoo egroup.

Special Rules:
Theme: Classical Warrior X-rules can be used.
Open (1600 pt): Rear zone is 360p.
Order cards will be used in all games.

Fast Warrior: Sunday: 9:00AM, 15mm Theme armies only, 1.25 hour rounds. A plea
here, we had no one play at Hcon. If we're to offer this again, I'm gonna need
players at Hcon to play. It's a great chance to qualify for the 2006 NICT.

Note: This should in no way be read as a complaint; I am lucky enough to
have the flexibility for any version of timing.

Let me be the first person to ask who has lead I can borrow? Smile.

[Actually, some of the little lead I *do* have is 15mm Seleucid stuff.
Should be no surprise there.]

So: given the decision to go with a Thurs-Sat NICT, is it felt to be the
case that 12.00 is a meaningfully different start time from a little
earlier that would allow three NICT games? [Or, is the break between the
two here a 'trading/shoppping' break?] I think I probably asked this last
year, too Sad.

Well, if I'm not playing NICT, I'll be there, in need of qualification,
and unhappy Wink.

Hi Scott & Folks,

Great job, I know you are trying to put 10 lbs. of $%*# in an 8 lbs.
pound sack (o:
One item though;" Open (1600 pt): Rear zone is 360p."
Just a clarification; this only applies to the 15mm (1600 pts) open
only on Saturday, NOT to theme (25mm or 15mm) or the NICT. Is that
correct? Just double checking, thank you.

Craig

Howdy,

I'm posting the theme armies on the main tournaments page under Hcon. I
hope this will make it easier for folks to find it.

Sorry if I was misleading in an attempt to be (half) witty. The
NASAMW site has the accurate theme info for Hcon.

Scott:

Just checking if I'm reading this correctly. It appears that there
will be no open, non-theme events at 1200 or 1600 points for 25mm. Is
this correct? If so, I guess that I'm a bit disappointed since I only
own 25mm lead and these are the armies I've been prepping with for my
first Historicon. Is it that there simply aren't enough 25mm players?

Thanks

Peter,

Hint. . . Get duplicate armies in both scales. That way you won't be
disapointed when your favorite scale is not being used.

I'm not sure why this didn't hit the first time.

The lack of a 25mm Open was an oversight on my part. There will be
one. Check www.nasamw.org for anything official but you heard it here
first.

However, since the bulk of players in 25mm will be in the NICT, be
forewarned that if we don't have 6 players, it won't happen.

Thanks Scott:

No problem. I hope there will be a 25mm event, but I'll heed your
warning. I guess I better put together something in 15mm in the near
future, but I'll never get anything ready before Historicon. I'll be
there regardless and hoping for the best.
