Pardon me if I've missed this being stated before, but can you give a brief
outline of what the planned list books are and what they will cover? (And if
that exists on a web page or in the files archive, just a pointer will be
great!)
Thanks
Tony

>The 276 army lists that will be covered will be in Fast Warrior format when
Warrior is published later this month. Those lists will give you an
approximate idea of what the "core" of each army will look like. The "full"
army list versions will be broken down as follows (and shown in approximate
order of publication):
Biblical Warrior (Bronze Age, early Iron age, typical chariot stuff)
Dark Age Warrior (Europe from fall of Rome to *roughly* Norman Conquest;
Middle East in same time frame, focus on Byzantines, Arabs, Moslem conquest
plus Asiatic "hordes" like Avars, Slavs, etc)
Holy Warrior (Crusades, Turks, etc)
Feudal Warrior (knights and more knights, stuff not covered by Holy Warrior)
Imperial Warrior (Roman Empire, all its enemies)
Oriental Warrior (all the Asian lists with one or two exceptions that I felt
worked better in other books)
Classical Warrior (hoplites, pikes, Roman Republic, that sorta thing)
In addition, there will be 8 New World lists that we'll publish free on the
Internet (none of them really fit well into the above models). I'm thinking
that after Holy Warrior is published, I'll do the 8 New World lists, get them
online, then start on Feudal Warrior.

And all the rest of us Imperials will be whining about the Imperial
Warrior List.
;-)
Sigh, well, all things come to he who waits.

That would be up to the individual(s) running a particular tourney.
Hithertoo, the 7th/Warrior community has generally accepted new and old WRG
lists, the NASAMW revisions, and the three Book of Hosts. I don't foree that
changing until the Warrior lists themselves are slowly published.
For example, when Biblical Warrior comes out, the new and old WRG lists, the
NASAMW revisions, and the first Book of Hosts lists won't be accepted in any
tourney I happen to run.
Again, let me stress, if someone somewhere wants to have a much more open
environment regarding lists, that's their decision. At the rate I'm doing
lists, we should be mostly done with list publication by the end of 2002 so
that should give people plenty of transition time. I also expect some
tourneys to allow both and then some drop dead date for switching.
