By the way, Scott, there was a question buried somewhere in my EIR
list post.

Is the upgrade to A class as described in that post legal (for
equites alares and veteran legionaries)? It seems to conform to the
letter of the rules, but I must admit that the fact the
term "bodyguard" is translated into some only roughly equivalent
latin gibberish (to a cloth-eared American) does seem like a
questionable way of evading the intent.

All said, though, I certainly like building them like this the same
way you can with the Aztec "knights" which get to be distributed
among units they are bolstering. Just not sure how historical, or
legal, it is.

I am looking at the new list rules and wondering if it is going to be
very important to keep these guys, the foot, eager. But maybe I can
do without upgrading the HC past B class except where a general joins.

>That was deliberate. Obviously you can't mix Prateorians with other bodies but
you can "aztecize" legionary units with 1E of Reg A in a unit of some other
morale grade.

>You have latched onto a key point in the list rules. We deliberately did that
as well:)Smile:)
